Staying in and enjoying my hygge home with my husband is my most sought-after experience. I don't need fancy meals, expensive nights out, or even dressing up (although those actions are needed throughout a marriage) My idea of re-connect time is cooking together in loungewear and listening to our wedding playlist.
THE PLAYLIST PART 1.
I like to set the mood during the pre-dinner phase. Candles burning MY FAVORITE SCENT
I'll pull out a light snack to nibble on while we cook and pour the drinks, he's a Gin guy and I prefer a chilled dry Riesling. 'Alexia, play wedding part 1" If you don't have an Echo or some sort of speaker in your kitchen, you're missing out! Yes, our TV has Spotify and music apps, but there's just something cozier when the sound comes from the tiny window panel near the sink.

"You Look so Good in Love" - George Straight
"Ordinary People" - John Legend

"When I'm with You" - Chris Stapleton
"Gravity" - John Mayer

"Best Part" - Daniel Caesar ft. H.E.R.
Look, this parenting thing is tough! Add a blended family structure and busy personal lives, there has to be purposeful time set aside for the marriage. No kids, no chicken nuggets, no HCBM drama, no watchful eyes. Music has a way of melting away the crap piled on that day, mix that with a few glasses of wine and a little kitchen dancing and you have yourself a successful stay-at-home romance. Making your marriage a top priority.

Enjoy the music- my kid-free playlist will last nearly over an hour, for more Love and Marriage tips see: Second Marriages and Blueberry Pancakes
